U.S. Women Please Vote in the 2024 Election!

Here’s Why I’m Asking

Women, this U.S. Presidential Election matters. Please consider the following and make time to vote.

27 women have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault.

TWENTY-SEVEN. What does that say to you? You can read details of the accusations here and here.

In May 2023, a jury found Donald Trump liable Tuesday for sexually abusing columnist E. Jean Carroll. (Reference: Judge clarifies: Yes, Trump was found to have raped E. Jean Carroll)

Given Trump’s history of sexually assaulting women, do you want him leading the country?

Donald Trump has bragged that famous or powerful men are allowed to make sexual advances on women.

In 2005, he said

“And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p*ssy. You can do anything.” ~Donald Trump in 2005 (video below)

While Donald Trump apologized for his vulgar language, he has never apologized for his attitude and as recently as 2022 stated that he still believes powerful men can makes sexual advances on women without repercussions.

In his 2022 legal deposition, Donald Trump was asked, whether he believed it true that “a star can get away with grabbing a woman’s p*ssy. And his reply was:

“Well, if you look over the last million years, that’s been largely true, not always, but largely true. Unfortunately or fortunately.” ~Donald Trump

When asked if he considered himself ‘a star’, Trump replied, “I think that you could say that.” Here is the footage from that deposition:

Donald Trump is proud of his role in the Supreme Court overturning Roe v Wade,

which protected women’s right to choose an abortion.

He said, “I was able to kill Roe v. Wade, much to the ‘shock’ of everyone.”

Since Roe v Wade was overturned, women have died because hospitals refused to treat them following a miscarriage.

Two Women Die in Georgia After Abortion Bans Delay Emergency Medical Care

In Texas, Woman Dies After Abortion Care for Miscarriage Delayed Over 40 Hours

Trump doesn’t appear to care about these women’s deaths. Asked if he had any regrets over his role in overturning Roe v Wade, Trump said no, “no regrets.”

Trump is disrespectful towards women

He routinely calls intelligent women stupid. The terms he has used to describe Vice President Kamala Harris include:
“dumb”
“mentally unfit”
“slow”
“stupid”
“an extremely low IQ person”

Trump said former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is a ‘birdbrain.’

Do you want a man who refuses to accept or acknowledge women’s intelligence as President of the United States?

There are plenty of gender-neutral reasons to say no to Trump as president again

Like

1) Trump peddles hate and divisiveness. Harris is pledging to support and represent all Americans, including those who did not vote for her.

2) Half of the people who served in Trump’s cabinet do not support his 2024 candidacy.(Reference).

3) Trump fabricated the idea that voter fraud occurred in the 2020 election. He has never provided evidence that made him think state voter fraud occurred.

4) Trump was willing to risk injury to Mike Pence and his family because Pence as Vice President followed the constitutional process rather than Donald Trump’s personal desires.

5) Trump has been convicted of felony charges.

Okay, that’s a lot, but the polls tell us that most men voting in the United States will support Trump regardless of the above. This is why I am asking, “Women, please vote on Tuesday!”

“But What About Harris?” You Ask

Kamala Harris is a tough, intelligent woman. She has stayed calm and respectful during the campaign despite Trump and his supporters’ many attempts to rattle her.

Will I love every decision she makes? Of course not. Could my taxes go up? Sure, but that risk exists no matter who I vote for.

And What About Illegal Immigration?

Illegal immigration is a very real problem in the United States which must be addressed. But fear mongering and racist rhetoric is not a solution.

Does anyone else see the irony of Donald Trump, a man accused of rape or attempted rape by multiple women, going around shouting about the country being flooded by murderers and rapists. His divisive language is not going to help us solve the challenges the country faces.

Women, Please Vote on Tuesday

Vote for women. Vote for your interests and that of your daughter, sister, and best friend. We deserve to be respected and have equal protection under the law.

I’m choosing to mark this story as being outside of Medium’s paywall, to allow people to share it freely. Please forward on to anyone who might be interested.
