This is so true. Carol's list would also be almost true for my mom who is 93. She has never been an animal person, but she still likes to garden (something green).

Another practice for her was she and my dad joined a church years ago and she fessed up to me that she didn't really believe all the 'myths' that the church exposed, but she looked around and said, "These people are loving and happy. I think it would be good if we spent time with them."
