I don't think what you wrote above is true. What I do think is true is that 'some' kids are making more money than most Grandpa's and you can learn something from the ones who are making a lot of money about how you don't need official qualifications to generate income.

I think your ideas are worth someone considering, trying and maybe they will generate some money. Trying these ideas definitely will build skills and character that will help get them back to earning money, but your premise that

“This stuff is not hard if you’re willing to try.”

is potentially very discouraging, for those who try and don’t end up with a profit.
